News media and terrorists

Ever wondered why terrorist are so successful?

Isn't one reason the news media, that tell us right away when something happened and who it was? And terrorist announce their responsibility themselves on a web site or via a TV station. And we believe them, but are they trustworthy anyway?

And where is the court and the judge? As we don't know who did it, we absolutely have to wait for the results of a court case, wouldn't we? But no, the news media immediately know who did it (as president Bush knew already 30 minutes after 9/11 happened that it was done by those terrorists).

Assume the news media wouldn't even take notice of an attack - or should we start calling it 'instance'? - and report nothing. How would the terrorists get the required publicity out of this? How would they be able to recruit more staff, if nobody knew they were doing those 'instances'?

We are afraid of more 'instances' and the terrorists know that and continue. Eventually they will achieve their goals. Unfortunately! If it wasn't for global media coverage, they wouldn't.

In a simple murder case down the road we always have a proper court case and only afterwards we know who the murder was. But terrorists can name themselves guilt and we start immediately to fight them back, where ever they say they are.

Just maybe the US fights its wars were it wants, not were the terrorists are. And the 'instances' are a good excuse to fight more. But that is an other story...

One thing is for sure: no more media coverage - less terrorists!

BTW
Great savings too: the army doesn't spend money, people don't get killed, we have more spare time to enjoy as we don't have to watch those terrible news reports over and over again.
